Our Story
Working Toward a Better Tomorrow
In 1974 a group of local individuals who liked to tinker with old machinery began getting together once a year to "play" with their collections. The collection of old machinery needed a home and the group needed a name. The South Central Threshing Association was formed. Through the hard work of the group's founders and their families, this association has grown and collected a massive amount of history. The Threshers are now a 501 3 (c) non-profit.
The traditions of the past come alive on the first weekend after Labor Day each year on the South Central Threshing Grounds thanks to our association.
Our Home
The South Central Threshing Grounds are located just north of Braddock, ND. The grounds host many events each, but none as large or spectacular as the Annual Threshing Bee. It is always amazing to see the event and grounds from the air. Thank you to Duane Grensteiner for the footage.
